Can I add any polls in simple press forum 4? How to do? Is there a plugin?

you have to use the democracy wp plugin which we have support for. unfortunately, the admin will have to create the poll. We have an open ticket to do our own thing for polls which would have option to allow users to create polls too. Right now, it doesnt look like that particular ticket will make it into 4.1, but instead be in 4.2 unless we clear some 4.1 items faster than planned as its on the top of the list should time free up.

I know that you mentioned that a poll was in the works for Simple Press by the end of 2009.  Any updates on this?  I know we can add polls using a plugin but from what I gather, those polls can only be created by the administrator.  What I am looking to do is have my users be able to post polls as well without having to give them administrator priviledges.

we currently do not have such a poll solution.  sorry.  its been on our list, but just havent gotten to it yet – and we do want to!

once we get 4.3 released here with wp 3.0, we will turn our attention to simple:press 5.0 which will include a complete plugin interface (at least thats the plan)… so users should be able to add things like this…  we will also need to 'demonstrate' how the plugin api works, so polls will be a candidate for that, but no promises….

no worries.  It is a nice feature but not urgent for me so I can wait.  Just wanted to check on this.

its been on the list too long, but we need to handle 5.0 first…  after that, its first or second on my list…
