admin bar errors with new / unread posts

4.0.4 when admin bar is not locked to the top the new posts / moderation buttons are showing the correct number of posts but when i click on them the script gives me an "error on page" message.  If i lock the admin bar to the top of the page (i don't like it that way), it works fine.

Anythoughts?

my first thought is this was fixed a while back. The latest version of spf is 4.1.2… I will have to look through the bug list to confirm. any reason not to upgrade?
