I receive an error when attempting to upload avatars that leads me to believe it's a directory permission issue on my server. Can you please tell me the default directory where avatars are loaded on version 4.0.2 or perhaps where I can reconfigure the uploads directory? Thank you.

What is the actual error condition/message please? You should find details about the avatars folder in the online help.

check for any error conditions on forum – configuration – storage locations too…
