QuoteI've known for some time that i have not been able to access the admin part of the simple:press forum on my site. But i did not worry about. I thought i beetr try fix it nowdays.
Basically what's happening is i either go to a "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." error. – or this is another one – "Cannot load simple-forum/admin/sf-adminforums.php."
I can not get to any area of the "normal" admin options etc. now since being away i automatically upgraded all my plugins and simple:press upgraded as well, No problem, the forum is still functional in the site and working fine (apart from ppl can;t login and post but that's another thread).
I upgraded WP to 2.9.2. What could i do to start troubleshooting. Should i be patient and wait untill WP 3 and the new simple:press upgrade as well befre doing anything to fix?

Leaving aside any prior errors or problems, SP V4.0.x will not function using WP 2.9.x. If nothing else, WP changed the way that admin menus are processed which would result in the 'insuffieient permissions' message within the admin.
WP 2.9.2 really does need SP 4.2.2 and then, if any problems persist unrelated to WP/SP versions, we would be able to deal with those at that point.
We expect WP version 3.0 to be released in RC1 this coming week and, if they go through the usual routine, the full release will not be far behind. SP will match that release for release as, sadly once again, our 4.3 will be required as much in WP3.0 has changed.

OK – We have been running WP 3.0 here for a while now and it seems pretty stable. it's very close to release.

Got 4.2.2 upgraded for now. woow you's have done a lot of work, everythings looking very good, impressive menu's etc.
I've had a setting in the old forum that post new posts on top of last posts which setting is it that changes the posting order so that new replys got below the last instead of stacked on top?

Just upgraded to spf 4.2 and the back end is all new.. nice!
Is there a way to adjust the font colours in the styles/skins?
