I LOVE Simple:Press.  What a wonderful plugin.

Just converted over from WP-Forum (big thanks to David Polensky for the wiki).  Everything looks great, except the old bb-code isn't parsed.

I understand that the editor now parses bb-code on the fly and converts to html.  Anyone have any tips on automatically parsing or converting bb-code stored in post data?  Maybe an SQL script?

yeah thats going to be a manual process though there are probably conversion scripts somewhere on the net… even with our bbcode editor, the raw data is stored in the db in html format…

Thanks for the reply.  Just for fun, I tried the Profanity Filter to see if I could replace bb-code w/ real HTML, but it didn't work.  So will just update in database.

If you can write code then you could use the SPF bbCode to html parser. Load the recird from the db, parse it and save it back….
