I think I am just missing some code that needs to go in the new page that was created called forum. I installed simplepress but it didn't put any code in the page that was created for it called forum. I would like to know what I need to place in this area to get the forum working.
There is no code that needs to be placed on the WP page. What exactly is the problem?
nothing on the page is needed. however, you do need to take note of the pages slug and make sure it matches the forum slug on forum – options – global tab. this is all done automatically at install time.
or course, until you create at least one group and one forum, you dont really have a forum to display.

This is link. I checked the slug and they match. Of course it was auto created so it should match. I don't know what the problem might be.
does your theme have a wp_head() call in the header.php file? does the page template have the_content() call?
Well they are very strange templates that look incomplete to me. But let's ignore that at the moment except to ask do you have other WP 'pages' that load correctly? Can you point me to one so that I can take a look at it?
One thing you will have to do is exclude the forum page from your wp-cache plugin. The cache plugin can not handle dynamic data (such as a forum). You can exclude it by placing the slug in the box for exclusions.
Let's start with that and the page question…
http://www.greenfitnessworld.c…..contact-us
http://www.greenfitnessworld.c…..m/archives
Both of these pages are loading correctly and are using plugins. I turned off all cache plugins.
No need to turn off the cache – just exclude the forum.
It seems clear that the WP 'engine' is simply not locating the forum 'page'. It's not a case of the forum not loading as far as I can see – but rather a a case of not getting requested to load.
So back to basics.
- What EXACTLY is the slug set to in Forum > Manage Options > Global tab?
- And what is the forum permalink set to in the toolbox tab?
- Do you have any redirection plugins active as it looks like you might have?
Yes I have redirection plugins enabled.
The slug is set to green-fitness-forum
Toolbox is set to http://www.greenfitnessworld.c…..ness-forum
I have redirection plugins but I disabled them and still have the problem.
I also tried disabling ever single plugin I have enabled and still have the problem.
The only thing I could think of is I did have simple press installed in a 3.0 version that I never really used but removed it. Maybe something from the install has it messed up.
