Awesome plugin! I've got a guy who has his database info from a dead vBulletin forum (about 600 posts). We're looking to use Wordpress and the Simple:Press plugin for his new site.
I've looked around pretty goood for any information on how to migrate the data from the vBulletin database over to Simple:Press with no luck.
Anyone know of a way to accomplish this with relative ease? Any help or information would be fantastic!

There have been attempts to migrate all sorts of old data from other forums into SPF. some have even been successful.
Unfortunately I have to admit that as of this writing, there is no EASY way or even STANDARD way of doing this with the current SPF tools.
SPF is a plugin to WordPress, as such we are limited to what can be done in wordpress.

I would like to import my posts from Vbulletin to SPF. Is there any possibility for that?

not currently possible except manually. a couple of folks have been interested in this and were going to try, but we havent heard anything back.

I will be using Simple:Press for new projects now and would also like to import posts from old projects still on vBulletin

We keep hoping that someone who wants this will also volunteer to write it…

check out our wiki (link in footer)… that would be great as we have had a lot of folks request one… in the wiki there is also another importer for another wp forum plugin you can use as an example… moving the forum data over is the easy part… the harder part will be moving the user db over to wp…
please feel free to ask questions as you go should have any questions/problems as we have an interest in this too – just no time to go do it ourselves!
you posted this in the 4.0.x forum but I would suggest starting with the latest and greatest 4.2.1 version…
