Old post have disapeared

I have gone back in my forum to view some older posts and they have disappeared. The new posts are there just the oldest ones have disappeared.

I am not really sure how to respond to this. SPF doesn't just remove data. So if there are topics/posts missing there has to have been something that happened – manual deletions, database 'prune' in the admin… something. Or a failure or corruption in your database perhaps -is your db reporting any errors?
