Hi

I just wonder – I've been using the register-plus plugin to eg give new users the possibility to choose their own password. But there are some glitches, like a confirmation e-mail being sent out late or not at all.
A good alternative is Sabre, but at least previously it was not compatible with SimplePress. According to the developer there's an incompatibility with SimplePress and that you've been in touch about this.

Instead of testing out on my own, do you know if they play together now?

I haven't tried it but they should do. The incompatibility was a long time ago (pre-V4). We now use the WordPress login/registration code so all hooks should be called.

I would say that if you have an email problem with Register Plus – and I have not used this plugin either so I may be wrong – this is unlikely to be the fault of the plugin and much more likely the fault of the WP flaky email system. Unless Register Plus does it's own thing with emails.

The funny thing is that the e-mail part has worked fine with most new registrations – just not all.

By the way, as an extra service (which has given several useful contacts) I also always send an All well? e-mail manually to all new users, so I know how big the problem has been.

I'll try Sabre now and try (to remember) to report back to you

It works.

Not experienced any problems using Sabre and SPF together. Any other experiences? My guess is – nope.

We have quite a few users utlizing both register plus and sabre…  Sabre seems to be a bit more popular with our users and we have coordinated with that plugin author trying to make sure they work together.
