sf_recent_posts_alt_tag jumping to last post in the URL

Is there a way so that the links in sf_recent_posts_tag don't take the visitor to the last post in the thread, but rather just opens the thread as normal from the first post?

 

Btw I meant sf_recent_posts_tag, not the alt_tag, sorry.

Only if you change the code to omit the post id. As it is a 'recent and new' post list the vast majority want it to link to that new post.

I actually use the code to only display the thread title, and call it 'Latest Discussions' section, to show which threads have the most popularity. That's why I wanted to make the change… unless there's a tag already existent for such a similar use that I'm not aware of?

I don't think we have any tags that do not provide a link by default. You'll need to edit one I fear.

Why not just use the sf_hot_topics() template tag?  It is a listing of the hottest topics…  the link does go to the last, but simple edit to get it to the first post..

I don't think sf_hot_topics exists in SF 4.0 unfortunately, but thanks for the suggestions!
