I don't believe so. But you can place links in the optional text that sits beside the image.

I think I've just read every thread about signatures and I think I've come to the conclusion that we cannot put banners in our signatures with links. Please say this isn't so.

I've tried <a href="http://site/"> <img src="http://image.gif"> </a> in both boxes. What's going on?

there is a separate signature image field for banners… the signature is for text…

as stated in several of those topics, we have an open ticket to enhance the signature ability and combine those two boxes with additional options…

yeah, but it never clearly states if a link can be applied to an image or not.

In one post I think I recall you saying some HTML could be applied, such as href.

html can be applied to the signature text… the signature image field can only be a link to the image…

Then what is preventing me from being able to put <a href="http://site/"> <img src="http://image.gif"> </a> in the signature text box? Is there anything I can edit in the code?

you can try editing the profile save where html (except for allowed tags) is stripped from that field… add an image tag to the allowed… 4.2 might already allow this – havent tried…
