I noticed this here on this forums…

Using smiles with text formatting (bold underline etc.) in the same post caused the editor to fail to save with the default TinyMCE editor.

Pop-up window instructed me to paste using the paste in buttons… even after pasting using the MS Word paste in button, the popup repeated… had to delete smileys from the post… cry

I had used bold and underline in the post.

I used several different smiles as well.winksmile some or all were rejected.cry

I copied the text and pasted it back with the Wordconfused paste tool.

post was still rejectedsurprised and various smiles were "Broken"yell

I switched to the html editor and everything is fine now.cool

So what was the difference please between the rejected post and your post above (5) which also has bold, underline and lots of smileys? There must have been another factor. Did you paste any text in?

Andy,

Can confirm in test that this is real… simply replied to a post, typed in long sentence and then selected a few words to be bolded (big B button) or some other words to be underlined (big U with underline button).  I get returned following error:

Problem! Please correct and re-save:

This text contains embedded formatting and was probably pasted in. Please completely remove text and use the approriate paste toolbar button (text or MS Word) to paste into or rewrite as plain text

There was no pasting of code whatsoever involved here…  opening ticket..
