Hi!

Thanks for reaching out to us.

1. Since the free version of the plugin has all of the core features of the forum we have no demo forum. We would recommend to run WordPress locally or at your choosen hosting supplier. However since you ask if we have a installation service setting up a local test site might not be your thing.

2. Generally we do not provide an installation service, however the setup is pretty straightforward and we will try to guide you if end up having problems.

3. We have quite a few translated languages but unfortunately Vietnamese is not supported. Do you want the users to write in both languages or what are your plans for the posts in the forum?

4. If you email us before your purchase we could arrange a one time discount for the Pro subscription.

Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Best regards,

Thanks for contacting us!

What you are trying to do is done quite easily by using Simple:Press User Groups and Permissions. By creating a WP role, and mapping it to a specific user group, you can make sure that every user in that group gets the permission you specify.

You are welcome do install Simple:Press and test this setup using the free version. You don't need a pro license for the features you are mentioning.

Thanks for contacting us. What are you specifically trying to do? Do you want to render Simple:Press in another place than the page that you specify when setting up Simple:Press?

Hi Kimberly!

Thanks for contacting us.

You can configure Simple:Press to map WordPress roles to different Simple:Press usergroups. This means that as long as the user has the role the permissions will be mirrored to Simple:Press which means that you dont have to keep different groups in sync.

I don't know the best way to show the buttons, but I would look for a plugin that can show different blocks depending on WP roles. That way you could add the blocks for the users having the correct role.

Hi Wilco!

We have not tested Simple:Press with Bricks or AutomaticCSS but cant see why this would not work. I would recommend that you install the free version of Simple:Press and try it out in your environment. Preferably on a staging or test site. Then you could verify that it works with your specific setup. If you have any questions regarding the setup you are welcome to get back to us with questions.

Simple:Press is a WP plugin meaning that you use your normal WP database for all the Simple:Press tables so there is no need for an extra WP install. Or have I misunderstood your question?

I am not sure what you mean by "post to topic" functionality? Are you referring to any of the Pro Addons?

On the page where she wants the forum, she also wants four buttons which are also protected by membership (same membership levels in Simple:Press).

But with WP I can't find a way to show the WP buttons once someone authenticates to S:P. It appears I'd have to maintain two exactly identical User groups - one for WP to see the buttons once logged in to WP, and one to see the forum once authenticated with S:P.

Obviously, that's not workable.

Is there a more elegant way to accomplish this?

I'm thinking I'd have to post a Welcome post in S:P which has the links to the buttons...but that seems clugey.

Does SimplePress function with Bricks? Meaning could I build up the whole forum team with Bricks and AutomaticCSS?
Also is it possible to host SimplePress in a serperate database server without the need of an extra WP install?

And is it possible to demo the post to topic functionality before buying?

Hi Paul!

Simple:Press wont change any of your other WP urls or links. You only need to create a page that you will use as the front for the forum. Everything will be linked based on the url for that page.

Please let us know if you need any other assistance!

Best regards,
Joakim @ Simple:Press
