No worries, this is an easy one. As long as you upgrade first to version 5.7.x, you’ll be fine. During 2024-2025 we have had quite a few upgrades from 5.7.x and they have all worked. But doing a test-run on a staging or test server is always a great idea.

Hi Simple Press Support,

I have your plugin that we have been using for quite some time now.

I tried installing the forum onto our test site with the latest version of WP but get an error.

This happens when I tried to install the forum onto the new wp site:

The forum is temporarily unavailable while awaiting a database upgrade.
You are attempting to upgrade to version 6.11.10 from your current version of 5.5.11.
Unfortunately, auto upgrades from versions prior to 5.7.2 are not allowed due to the complexity of the changes.
Please visit our , then download and upgrade to at least version 5.7.2 before attempting to upgrade to version 6.11.10.

Where can I download this version 5.7.2 ?

I did some additional debugging and found that the val1 parameter in the setPostButton and setTopicButton functions is undefined. This parameter is missing in the data in the spEditorSpam element and because of this the button gets disabled because the math calculation that controls the button state always fails.

Hello,

In the latest update, the 'Do math to save' button gets grayed out when a guest user tries to add a new topic/post immediately if something is typed in the math answer field. The button is enabled before anything is typed in the math answer field. The forum is not used very often, the latest guest user that posted a message was a few weeks ago so I am not sure when this issue started.

I am happy to provide more detail about this problem when required.

I cant replicate your issue locally. And by that I mean that I cant get my search results to show up as yours do where each post is shown. Have you done any custom template changes?
