as Lee indicates, likely  a js conflict… see our faq or wiki for tips on running down conflicts…  multiple jquery loads is a good example… too many themes and plugins dont load jquery or js correctly using the wp api…

you can delete more than one topic via forum – toolbox – prune database…

what do you mean by admin nick?  the user name for admins?  all user names have several custom stylings applied (like user id, rank and user type) that you can apply custom styling too…

Let's just make a quick check for known plugin conflicts that have been reported at various times.

Are you using any of the following and, if so, does deactivatng them allow the tools popup to work as it should (after a forum page refresh of course): WP-O-Matic, SEO Smart Links, Blogs Directory, Members Directory, Google Analytics..?

As Lee H pointed out above your site has two separate copies of jQuery being loaded. Look at the generated source code and you will see this. One is being loaded by the theme which is a very bad idea. there is also an error being generated in something called 'slider' which may well be the actual cause. This code (which states it was written by you) does also not use the WP safe 'no conflict' mode.

My best guess is that these combined are causing probems further down the line.

I have absoutely no idea what slider is or does so I can't really advise…
