Most websites that specialize in a specific area may need or prefer to collect some data about their users that the standard WordPress profile and standard Simple:Press profile, does not collect.
A site specializing in a particular sport, for example, may want to collect and show a users favorite team or event. Gaming sites may want to show the platform the user prefers.
