Good evening,

Been battling this problem all evening long and finally have to throw in the towel with this one.

I am working with a Multisite - Divi theme installation and no matter what we do, I keep getting the same error when trying to activate the plugin.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /home/vacare5/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6044

We increased memory and time from 30 to 60 then from 60 to 120.

No dice - same error over and over again.

Hi:

The first thing to check is your debug.log file (you might have to turn on the wordpress debug flags to generate that file).  I bet it'll have a message or two in it.  You're probably seeing the last error on the screen but the first one is likely the one that matters and you're not seeing that - it'll likely be in the debug.log file though if you turn on debug flags.

Once you have it, just post it here and we'll likely be able to provide a more informed next step for you.

Thanks.

Okay, I have went a little further with this, but it is getting to the end of my allowable expertise.

After installing a debug plugin, I now have this message.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/vacare5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/query-monitor/classes/Backtrace.php on line 97

I am TRULY working in an area I have no knowledge about - so forgive me if this is not what you are looking for.

I have set debug to true and collected this information.

I really would like to resolve this as I need this plugin active on the site and ready to fly.

TIA - Mike

(Great... just seen I cannot upload a 7MB zip file....)

Hi:

The debug log is showing that the query-monitor plugin is eating up all the memory on your WordPress server.  So you might want to try disabling that and see if it helps.

Thanks.
