4.3 upgrade issue

Hi guys,

Just got round to sorting out 4.3 on WP3.0 beta 1, the upgrade caused a slight problem though. Check out the topic titles. The one on the left is on my local server after the upgrade, on the right is the live site running SP4.2.

What happened there then? That Topic title no longer links to anything, but if I click the arrow in “Started” or “Last Post” column the topic still exists.

not sure – the images are too small to make out really… are you not running from svn?

james – I can't read it but is it the text to the post? What wold be the new popup tooltip?

If so then I would very much like to have the text to the post exactly as it is saved so that I can work out why it wont load as a tooltip

No it's not what the tooltip should be, the actual Topic title reads:

http://www.youtube.com/ublive
Ignore…”
href=”http://localhost/techietalk/forum/new-arrivals/jef-hammersley-university-of-ballarat/”>Jef
Hammersley University of Ballarat

If I hover over the Topic Title the Tooltip is correct.

The actual content of the post itself is:

Hello. I teach on the Advanced Diploma of Live Production course at
the University of Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. We have a very “hands
on” course that teaches lighting, sound and a bit of vision to people
wanting to take up a career as a techie.

You can see examples of our work on http://www.youtube.com/ublive

Ignore the occasional dodgy camera work in the Youtube clips.
Everything is done live, in front of an audience and typically with no
rehearsals and only a brief soundcheck. The performers are typically
independant musicians from the local area.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with a URL appearing in the tooltop?

I was running it from SVN, but I broke my test site a while ago. I just grabbed the beta download quickly to get everything working. I haven't set up the SVN again yet but it's on my to-do list.

One more thing – what is the actual topic title?

I can’t replicate the issue using this topic title and the content you posted earlier.
Can you tell me the build number of the 4.3 you are using? Is this literally the beta 1 release sill?

We intend to drop a second beta before the weekend. Perhaps you could try that first as there were some cleanups to the ‘tooltip’ code you wont have yet. if it still plays up after that then yes – I will get onto it and maybe take you up on the offer – thanks.
