kgw, if you are still following this forum, could you please retry grabbing the latest 4.1 version from trunk and installing it on your test site?  we have resolved the admin css issue you were having…  be interested to see how it works elsewhere.

plus you will shortly have a pm on another topic where it would come in handy…

Yep. I got my kids the end of June and things are starting to calm down. Have 3 women and 2 female dogs so built a couple levees due to all the Estrogen flowing around the house. Put a lock on my door for some peace and quiet to!

And no worries, I check SPF at least twice a day.

I see you guys have been very busy, it's a whole new look! Works in IE, Chrome, Safari, FF, Lunascape5, Slepnir and Opera. I can work with this now.

so does that mean you have 4.1 on your test site now and it appears to be working?

Mike,

Can you run through the latest 4.1 with IE 8 and see if you have any problems?  Namely, the admin bar in the front end and some of the JS in the admin.  I am having all sorts of issues including it jumping back to compatibility mode for me and I cant see why.

thanks… trying to debug – thinking it might be 2.8 jquery conflict, but too early…

Everything is working fine, including the JS. Windows are opening the way they should and everything. I clicked thru most of the admin backend and didn't have any issues either.

Works like the 6 or 7 other browsers I have loaded up.

so the admin bar on the front end works?

and please try creating some special ranks and adding members to it.

Just noticed some apparent corrupted files in my svn checkout, so have blown it away and rechecked out. so will try again, but not sure why that would only affect IE…

lol… I have already found one fix for the menu system. for me, show members on the special ranks is still erroring out. as well as the admin bar in front end.

If you could, please go to any usergroup and try to show the memberslist…  does it work?

Mike,

any feedback on whether the admin bar on the front end or the show members list in manage usergroups or show members list in components – special ranks is working for you with IE 8?

Thanks…
