ticket open, but we need to discuss template tags. At some point, some will need to go through the template tag plugin and test them all.  Additionally, we should evaluate the need for each one.  Several, if not many, have been replaced by template tags already in use in the themes. If we dont need them, we should jettison them.

additionally, despite adding it in 5.0, I really think we need to consider getting rid of the template tag activation admin panel.  Based on how things were done in 4.x, it was a great idea and saver.  But, in 5.0, at least in the plugins that I have done, I have changed how template tags are loaded.  Now, my template tags are auto loaded with no need to activate on the admin panel.  Is it free? nope.  but at only 2 or 3 lines of code, the cost is very minimal.  The tag itself is only included when called.

The simplicity of always available and loaded vs all that extra code and complexity for the activation panel seems like an excellent trade.  Our base code now stands a real good chance of being below 2M which is good.
