New Wiki Section and an Appeal to Luffer

i was going to start a new wiki section. Something like ‘Other Plugins’.

The under that was going t have ‘Problem Plugins’ with a list.

But also something like ‘Useful Plugins’.

And under that sub-sections of which ine was going to me ‘Login and Registration’.

And – if we all agree on this proposal I was then going to appeal to Luffer to write up Theme my Login and Register Plus (which I believe you also use – yes?)

Thoughts you guys?

Yeah I use Theme My Login but not Register Plus, but I can certainly write up on how to integrate TML with SPF.

While on this subject of login etc.. How about a feature request for a future version of SPF to add an In-Line registration form like you have for login?

I used to have one but took it out when keeping it up to date with the WP code became a nightmare. I might be tempted to have another try.
There is a problem. Use the inline login and purposely put in the wrong credentials. I could probably get around that with login but it isn’t so easy with registration so if anything was wrong the user would probably end up in the WP reg form anyway – even more confusing!

Eeeewwwww…. that’s horrible! Especially for people (like me) who don’t advertise the fact their site runs on WordPress Smile It’s a shame that it isn’t easier to sort out these login issues really because they do cause problems for site admins.

I agree and I really do not understand the reluctance to give us a few more hooks into login and registration.

Perhaps they are concerned about security with registration… but if it’s done properly then it shouldn’t be a problem. I would have thought it’s a bigger security risk having to employ hacks and works arounds!
