No I didn't… well I did, but when my PC decided to screw up I did a reformat / re-install of Win 7. So to all intents and purposes this is the first time I've done it (as far as the PC is aware).

ah failed to notice the subidr vs subdomain… its a subdomain, so
http://svn.simple-press.com/trunk
http://svn.simple-press.com/tags/4.3.0
depending upon which of the latest versions you want…
trunk is 4.3.1…. but we will be releasing that very soon…
I've got the trunk and 5.0.0 now, I take it 5.0.0 isn't in a working state right now? It wouldn't install to WordPress when I just tried. Guess that was to be expected, but just checking.
At this point in time 5.0 needs 4.3.0 and can be uograded from that. But the first time install should have worked.
What went wrong?
Brand spanking new install of WP3.0 got the SVN and went to plugins, hit Activate and that was it… no install option was available. The “Forum” menu option appeared but clicking it gave an error 404 object not found.
did you extract svn to a directory called simple-press?? note the name change in 5.0 (used to be simple-forum)
okay- sorry… we are trying to fix up some of the branding… 5.0 will require a wipe of the old plugin and then reuploading the new one…
