codex page status

whew, busy night… wink

first I wrote a plugin tonight to create all the codex pages we were missing – namely all the various functions… plugin created the pages, but I had to go back in manually and linked them up – thank goodness wp has a very good internal linking feature built in…

anyways, all these various function type pages are now incomplete…  and that is really the method of my madness…

I also added a new plugin which tracks the status of posts/pages/custom post types in wordpress…  by default it tracks three statuses:  empty, partial and incomplete…  but I have gone in and set all codex pages to incomplete…

to be clear, when I say codex pages here, I really mean posts with custom post type set to ‘codex’…

so now we can track the status of our codex pages until we are happy with them… and if for some reason need to mark them as work needed (ie incomplete) we can update the status…  status of all these pages can be set by editing the page… in the right hand side is a menu where you can set the status…

additionally, I have set up a status page of the codex pages needing working… kind of depressing laugh as there is a bunch… the web address is:

http://codex.simple-press.com/page-status/

we will also be adding a to do list in the codex for other stuff needed, but I thought at least a status of the codex pages would be helpful…
