I raised a topic in the plugin forums yesterday regarding some integration of blog linking into wordpress. See below.
" I have a recipe website and wanted something in the post sidebar widget to say "no discussion for this recipe yet -press here to start one" when there was no topic already existing for it yet. They could click on a link and be the first to start the topic on the recipe(post)
When a topic already existed for the post then in the post sidebar it would show an excerpt from the last comment on the topic in Simple press and say " see the full discussion for this recipe" and they could click on the link to the topic to see whats already been said on the topic(recipe)"
Mr Papa asked me to raise this as a request.
I have some questions around this.
What is the likelihood of this ever being included in a simple.press plugin?
Do you offer paid professional services to get bespoke work done on your software?
Its something that I am keen to get deployed but I would appreciate an evaluation of the prospects of getting such Functionality in place.

We try and cater for those requests that we get most often - which makes sense. Or - sometimes, of course, because we really like the idea and think that Simple:Press will benefit from it. I, personally, do like this idea and could see it getting done but then you are going to ask when and that gets harder. At the moment - for example - we are needing to work flat out getting the editor working after the planned WP upgrade it in their 3.9 release. That has to take priority as do any bugs that need fixing. But yes - I would certainly entertain getting this into code at some point when possible.

Not sure what else to say really. In the normal course of events it goes on the list... as I say - the more people who request a feature the higher it goes up the list. In this case, we like the request so that should also play a part. But when?

So at this point would your poll option be really helpful to gauge the need?
Well if it was to come out within 3 months then I could probably wait. If longer than i would like to understand the cost of getting it done sooner.
it would really bring blogs into their own by having this full blown integration

sp release actually... wp 3.9 wont release until mid April... We are targeting end of January for our next 5.4.1 update...
