Support Forum
Request feature or update to allow a user with sufficient permissions to choose to post any forum topic to their liking and post it to a wordpress blog of a specific category. Then, perhaps choose a different forum topic which can be posted to a different wordpress category as they wish. The currently functionality with blog-linking is that this is partially possible but only when the forum topic is being created. This request is about doing it for any existing forum topic. And, it should also be possible to remove the posts when required which 'breaks the link'.
It would be nice to be able to customise how the forum topic appears in the blog post too.
ie.
<Forum Topic content> (images/text/video is embedded and viewable in a similar way as it is in the forum thread).
<Originally posted by user 'XYZ'>
<XXX replies> (When clicked the user is taken to the actual forum post where they can view the original topic and the replies)
There is a website which uses something similar to the above mentioned feature and seems to be an addon with vbulletin. Please see here: http://www.ps3hax.net/ to see how it works. Their main page blog seems to be entirely populated by selected forum topics.
I have a feeling that your first request there may already be on the wish/future enhancement list but I will go and check after I post this and if it is not then will add it.
The second request is more problematic as it would involve loading Simple:Press CSS, Javascript and PHP files that we do not currently load for blog posts simply to avoid the overhead and conflicts. But I will certainly make a note of it.
