It would be great to have a chat plugin that integrates with Simple:Press so that forum members who are online at the same time can live chat with each other. Does something like this already exist? If not would you consider making it?

There are a few chat plugins already available for WordPress which seem to work for those that use them (I have never tried any of them myself) so it is doubtful that we will ever construct one. But not out of the question of course!

But I would take a look at the WP plugin repository and see what they have.

Envolve works good with Wordpress and is free for up to 25 users at one time.
