Connect WP categories and SP forums

I'd love to have the option of connecting a WordPress category and a SimplePress forum.  So when I post a blog for a certain category (for example: music industry news), it would automatically create a new post in the Music Industry forum in SimplePress.  I know you can check the option at the bottom when posting a blog entry, but it would be great to have this as an automatic feature.

we already have an open ticket to come up with automating blog post linking. using categories is one of the options/components being considered. Its on the list for 4.1, but its way too early to know for sure if it makes it in, but I can say it has been often requested.
