Support Forum
Hello -
First let me congratulate you on your upcoming retirement. I wish I had found your software years ago. We have a Wordpress/Buddypress community and are wondering if simple:press is what we need.
Our community found a forum format that we really like in some ways (and really hate in others). I've attached what the main "feed" looks like. The #1 thing we like is that the main "feed" shows most recent posts from all the forums on one page (in the attachment you see those topics and replies are from three different forums). The #2 thing we like is you can reply directly from within that feed without having to click to open the forum thread. And the #3 thing we like is that there is a set excerpt/preview length for the topic and the replies so you can skim all the topics and replies in a small amount of screen space or you can click "Read More" to see the entire post.
Is any or all of that possible using simple:press? We would willing to pay for a customization if necessary.
Thanks!

This is very much a facebook style interface. We have talked about making a plugin that emulates this sort of approach but it had never made it to the cut as there have always been more demands on available resources.
Due to retiring later this year then personally I will be taking on no more custom work - at least this year. If a colleague is interested then they will post here I am sure.
