to a user only when is posted a replay to his comment? A user can subscribe only for the reply to his posts?

Or the notification will be sent for all new posts in the discussion?

When a user subscribes to a topic they receive notifications of all posts made to that topic (except for any they wrote themselves of course!).

just to clarify, you cannot subscript to a thread… you subscribe to the whole topic (or forum)…

if i have a post with many new comments, a user will receive many notifications… i can suggest to add the option to subscribe only the own threads?

Its something that could be considered for the future, but its a significant impact to the current plugin to do…  so will take some time when undertaken…

Do you have a date when this will be available? I’d like to evaluate this for our forum site that needs threaded replies. If it’s of interest, I’d be open to running it as a test with some of our membership if that feedback would help your testing process. We have about 2,500 members, 60,000 page views and several thousand posts per day, currently on bbPress/BuddyPress which has been hacked to get threading.

We should be releasing it fairly soon…  along with a 5.7.4 update…  but the latest php 7.1.1 release has caused a rash of compatibility issues so we have to get those fixed up first… but definitely this month I would hazard…
