Hi:

Thanks for your interest in Simple:Press.  Here are the answers to your questions:

Post Anonymously:  The user’s post will appear as “guest” to all users including admins.  Its the same as if the user had posted as a guest.

Hide Posters:  Provides the admin (or other designated user) the option of hiding user names in a thread.  This has to be enabled on a topic-by-topic basis though.

We’re working on more modern looking themes right now but they’re still at least 3 months away at this point – we only started on that this month.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks.

So, is there a way to allow “anonymous to all but admins,” for example, so people can post anonymously (to each other), but if they cause trouble, we know which accounts to engage with?

That would be a HUGE boon in my work.

If not, is there a way I could pay for something like that to be done in a way that is 100% compatible with your code and updates?

Hi:

Yes, we could create that functionality.  However, please be aware that custom programming isn’t cheap – the costs for custom work tend to dwarf the costs of the plugin itself by orders of magnitude.  Something like this would likely be about a week of our time.  You can get an idea of what that might cost based on our rates published here: https://simple-press.com/downloads/software-development-installation-consulting-and-support-3-5-and-10-hour-blocks/.

If you’e like to pursue this avenue, let me know and we can discuss implementation details further.

Thanks.

I understand.

I can’t imagine wanting people to be able to post 100% anonymously on my forum, without any repercussions.

That said, I also know quite a few good PHP programmers, so perhaps better to have one of them modify the plugin for me.

Thank you.

Hi:

Sounds good.  Let us know how it goes.
