I am afraid all we import – as stated on the import form and help panel – are forums, topics, posts and users (if necessary).

If the images and attachments are embedded in posts using standard URLs and are still available in whatever location they are stored at, then they may well, in theory, still be visible in posts but I have not tried this myself.

the only issue we had when we converted from bbpress was youtube videos, they won’t show if you use the standard bbpress method, but yellowfish provided a simple spfucntion edit that strips the code from the posts so they show

Thanks…
You have clearly told me this before which just proves I do not drink enough cocoa.

yellow sword fish can you help me ?

Help with what?
