Hacked: Move settings and content from infected database with sp 4.5.1 to fresh sp 5.5.2

Hi, we are using SP on a members-only site since 2010. Never any issues. We are usually up to date with security measures but looks like an outdated plugin allowed a backdoor.

We are rebuilding from scratch. How do we get the forum content from our infected db into the fresh install? Is the table structure the same and we just export/import all sp-tables? Will settings be kept? We have plenty of customisation due to members-only content.

You should be able to export all of the SP tables (those starting ‘sf’) but you will also need the WP ‘users’ and ‘usermeta’ tables in conjunction with them or you will lose the relationship between posts and their authors.
After the data and systen are in the new server then you could go for the upgrade
