Image uploader plugin not working and SP upgrade has broken our forum

Hi,

I’m not sure where to post this, but we’ve had a number of problems with our SP forum in the last few days.

I purchased the File Uploader plugin, which when installed does not work. We just get the error message Upload URL might be wrong or doesn’t exist. We’ve since discovered it’s not compatible with our version of WordPress and SimplePress.

Overnight, an upgrade was started to SimplePress which has now broken our forum and won’t allow it to open or load (screenshot below).

Is there an older version of the file uploader and SimplePress plugin that is available that would be compatible with WordPress version 4.1.13? Looking at the source for the upload plugin, is says it should work with SimplePress 5.5 – would you know the minimum WordPress version that works with SimplePress 5.5?

you say upgrade was started.. assume you mean by you – we do not have automatic upgrades.. they are only user initiated..

we dont really have older versions of plugin – we dont maintain them directly…

you can get any older version of SP here:  https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/installation/upgrading/previous-simplepress-versions/

the main plugin file will tell you the required WP version..  for exmapleSP version 5.5 requires WP version 3.9

sounds like you have quite an old version of file uploader plugin since current versions require new SP and WP… 

I also must inform you (hopefully you already know) that old of a version of WP has some pretty scary security holes that have been patched and known to be exploited…
