Support Forum
Hello, We just added SimplePress Forum to OptimizePress and the OptimizePress theme and the forum Jquery conflict - so the popup functionality isn't working.. Can you help us resolve this?"
Thank you!
I thought OptimizePress was one of the good guys and did things to standard.
To be perfectly honest, and assuming you would rather not have to re-code a part of the WordPress theme - then this is a question better asked of the theme authors.
Simple:Press utilises the jQuery and jQuery UI libraries and correctly enqueues them from the WordPress supplied versions in the 'wp-includes' folder. If your theme is performing a non-standard load of one or both of these libraries then they would be best placed to advise you on how to prevent that - and to also explain why they are doing it.

Hello,
thanks for the response.
I actually contacted OptimizePress first and they said that happens sometimes to check all plugins and suggested to contact you.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you,
Maureen
What did you ask them?
Did you ask if (a) they use the supplied WordPress libraries and (b) they are loaded correctly using wp_enqueue_script() statement?
If the answer to both of these is yes then there is more likelihood that the conflict is with another WP plugin.

this would be quite interesting since as Andy indicates, we have quite a few users of optimize press... so could be a different plugin you are running vice the theme...
