Hello, i installed the forum and trying to do some customization before purchase, so i have two questions.
I uploaded the portuguese (sp-pt_BR) language pack (.mo and .po files) to “wp-content/sp-resources/forum-language/simple-press”, but it´s not working, do i need to uploaded it somewhere else?
Is there any plugin to add “ads” to forum posts, or between them?
Thanks
Hey JimiC,
Yes you also need language files in the theme, as this is where a lot of the forum text is generated. The language files can be downloaded from our localisation website (Glotpress)
There is a good tutorial for this in the Codex which you would have access to upon purchasing a membership.
As for the ad’s, we don’t provide an ‘advert’ plugin, however we do again have an excellent tutorial in the Codex along with some snippets of code you can paste directly into the relevant template. You can put ad’s anywhere on the page- top of forum, in the footer, or as you requested- after each forum post.
Hope this helps
Actually you do not need to become a member for these particular Codex articles. The first – localisation – is here: https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/installation/installation-information/localization/
And there is a quick guide on how to add ‘ad’ code in the FAQ How to section: https://simple-press.com/documentation/codex/faq/problem-with-post-edit-buttonow-to/
