Hi, I’d like to ask whether there’s a way for users to be notified by email of new replies to topics in which they’d participated. Or is there a plugin, which would do this? Thanks.

Yes, if you use the ‘Subscriptions’ plugin – you have the option to ‘Auto subscribe members to all topics they post in’.
This only affects users who sign up after the auto subscribe setting is enabled, and because technically you shouldn’t force users to be subscribed, they can disable this themselves in their profile at any time.

No, it will continue to function and get updates after the membership has expired…
Thanks Ike. So is there a tick box that each user can tick if they want to be notified? Also, you say it works for members. Does it work for guests too?
yes, members can choose to receive notification or not on any topic… it only works for users, not guests (cannot trust email address not to be spamming someone)…
