Posting image on simple:press = PITA?

OK, thinking about upgrading to a premium account for all the bells and whistles, but first, I would like to know if things get better from here?

Embedding youtube vidoes works great. But trying to embed an image is a whole different story.  Instead, we get a very tiny thumbnail.  When I click on the thumbnail, I get a very BLURRY image.

Is this the stock theme I chose? Or what am I doing wrong here.  I never had so much trouble trying to embed an image on a forum.

It’s open to guest post.  Test it out.  You too will get a headache figuring this all out.

we are not able to provide support here the pre membership forum…  and not sure what you mean by embedding an image (do you simply mean using img tags)?

regardless, think you would be better off with our file uploader plugin which allows you to upload images, media or other files (distinct permission for each) to a post which is available with a membership…

basically using image tags.  It doesn’t work on the free version I guess.  Well, it does, but it works like crap.  Not sure i want to upgrade with support like this.  Prolly find something else.

Thanks!

That’s a curious response to something that you can clearly see works just fine when you posted the same image on this site – which is running exactly the same code as your Simple:Press install. And whether you use thumbnails is up to you and your option settings.

Personally I have not seen that effect before – it is almost like it using a blown up copy of the thumbnail (which SP does not do – again – see above) I would strongly suspect that either your WP theme or another WP plugin is responsible for throttling the enlarged image.
