Shortcode to Embed Recent posts summary on homepage

We would like to be able to embed a feed of the most recent posts or the most active posts into a section of the homepage. If we purchase the template, tags and widget plugin will it provide us with a shortcode that would allow us to accomplish this on the homepage? Thanks for any help.

Yes – although actually there is also a widget you can use anywhere. See our footer at the bottom of this page – far left. That is the widget.

and for clarity, as Andy indicated, there is a shortcode too if preferred to the widget…
