I have a ton of experience with full featured Forums (SMF/VBULLETIN/etc), so I like and understand much of what this forum software does. I am interested in using it, but in the limited testing I have done, I am having tons of problems with IE10/11 with this plugin and Themify themes. I am heavily vested in those themes as it has an on the fly page builder. I assume the problem is Jquery issues.

I can't find any info on the Themify support forums about this plugin as having known conflicts with their themes.

Before I spring for full membership, does anyone have Simple:press and Themify Themes working for IE10/11 users. Seems to work fine with Chrome, but we need universal compatibility.

If you had a jquery problem then (a) it would be easy to find by using a browser script console but (b) is unlikely - although not impossible - to only affect one browser.

So really it depends on what the problems you are seeing with IE actually are. Needless to say we have lots of users successfully using Simple:Press and IE together and it is also tested here at every stage of new development.

If - by any chance - you are basically referring to having problems with links under IE then there is a workaround for that in 5.5.2 and below but also - we hope - a better fix for it in the forthcoming 5.5.3.

My issue I am referring to seems to be simple:press and any of the theme by Themify, so its probably something in their framework/builder. I was hoping someone else was using one of their themes and simple:press. They make a ton of themes, so I have to believe there are other out there using them together.

Did you take a look in the console to see if you were getting any errors?

As Yellow Swordfish has said - It's not normal that this will only affect one browser. I take it you have tried others to see if you are getting the same problem?

You haven't really answered any of the points in post #2 so we can't really go any further without more information, we have given you a few things to go on..

Having joined for support, your current 5.5.3 beta, the problem does not happen (Tooltips make links not work in IE11). I followed a bunch of threads on the subject and have disabled tool tips and everything is now working fine.

FWIW, it is confined to Windows 8, it happens also in Windows 8.1 Update with IE11.

Can't wait for 5.5.5 to be released.

This problem with Windows has been a bit of a thorn in our side. It's great to have confirmation that the change in 5.5.3, the move to a different script, has resolved it. So thanks for that...

must say though, it was not a general issue with Windows 8 and IE 11... only affected a few installs... likely related to other js on the site or addons to IE being run by the user...  but even a few was too many, hence the change...
