SPF v4.x support

Hi SPF … not sure where else to ask this but, can you provide assistance with a problem involving a legacy version of SPF (v4.4.5)?

It is part of a client’s old system that is being redesigned and the forum is being completely re-evaluated and we are hoping to limp along just a bit more but have a “fatal error” that appeared apparently out of the blue (no PHP updates or script changes etc.).

I believe the client would be willing to pay for support if this is something that can be helped with.

Regards,

John

Without appearing to sound rude – nothing happens out of the blue unless corruption has set in for some reason – and that is usually known.
So – what, exactly, IS the fatal error?

Agreed, so I’ve looked for altered files and/or odd insertions in the posts and topics tables in the database and don’t see anything suspicious.

The error is:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function sf_render_add_topic_form() in /home/n00day7/public_html/Success/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/forum/sf-forms.php on line 16

(sometimes indicating line 28)

John

If there have been no site changes then that really does sound like some sort of corruption so going to a backup of the old SP plugin is probably the best way forward
