We had been using yahoo groups for sometime with quite a few members. We are now looking at an alternative that can be integrated with our wordpress based site. A forum plugin seemed to be the way forward. The problem is that our members have got accustomed to two features that they are not willing to part with. Namely:

1. Receiving notifications for all posts created and replied to with a choice to have a daily or a weekly digest.

2. The ability to reply to the posts via a reply option in the email they have received as a daily or weekly digest .

I have checked out the simple-press plugins and found the two (Post by Email and Subscriptions) that may help me achieve this functionality provided they work together.

So the question I have is:

Will simple-press along with the above mentioned plugins provide the following functionality:

1. Auto subscribe members to all forums on registration

2. Provide option to choose a daily or a weekly digest of posts

3. Enable posting on the different topics which are emailed as a part of the daily or weekly digest via a reply button in the email.
