but a question...  have you removed all the icons for the default theme?  none of them are showing, for example:  http://theblackpigsblog.com/bp.....umIcon.png

If you just dont want them to show, you should adjust the template function calls in the theme...  as it is now, it is slowing down the page loading because it still has to try to load those images that dont exist (or cannot be accessed)...  if you instead either removed the template function calls or adjust the calls to tell it you did not want an icon, it would load faster...
