I am just putting the finishing touches and fixing the last little tiny glitches on my new forum. Hope to launch it within the next week or so:

P.S. I did a week-long research before I decided to try Simple:Press. I considered 6 different alternatives at least half of which were fully paid. I even talked to vBulletin sales for over 45 min – I can't believe how horrible their sales people are, how little they know about their own product and its competitors, and how ridiculously overpriced their software is, with many add-on costs after the initial installation!…

Once again – you guys ROCK! Great Product. Great forum support. Awesome people! Thank you!

You deserve it Mr. Papa for those are not mere compliments but pure facts based on my comparative research and review of Simple:Press.

How do I change the dark green forum footer color into the same shade of light green as “Discussions”?

you will have to edit the skin.  suggest reading our wiki about skin customization and create your own skin from the base skin you are using to be more upgrade proof…

also suggest using firefox with firebug for inspecting html/css/js… invaluable for deciding what to change… can even do what ifs and see results before making actual change…

In this case, in the skin file, its a bit more involved… but you want to change

#sforum #sfstatstrip {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #678B3F;
    border: 1px solid #476B1F;
    border-radius: 4px 4px 4px 4px;
}

the background to what you want…  to match the lighter it would be #D3E8CF

but you will also want to change the text color and borders as they will be slightly off…

Thanks Mr. Papa,

With your input we did a few customizations on my forum such as color and custom icons – love that option!

I am currently testing it and hope to officially launch it either Friday or Saturday…
