Support Forum
I'm testing the S:P forum and adding different plugins and members.
I installed another plugin called Better WP Security which asked me to change the default WP 'admin' name.
I changed the name and S:P now can see the old 'Administrator - ID 1' and new 'Administrator - ID 13'.
Technically it is the same Administrator...
Is there any way to change the IDs or rebuild/reset the database without of re-installing S:P?
Regards,
Gregory
technically its not the same user/administrator...
If this plugin created a new user (evident by the user id of 13), then it is just that, a new user. Simple Press of course will treat them as two different users.
If you delete the user with ID of 1, all the posts from that user will become from a guest poster.
If you want to move all the SP stuff from user 1 to user 13, that is a bit complex and will have to be done manually... We have an open ticket to allow deletion of a user and reassign all his 'stuff' to another user, but it doesnt exist currently...
there is also a bunch of WP stuff for that user (ie user meta) that will also need to be moved over....
for the SP stuff, you can make the new user an admin on forum - admins - manage admins... but you will need to go into the database and copy the data from the old user row in sfmembers to the new user row in sfmembers... and go through the sftopics and sfposts tables in the db and change the user id column where there is the old id to the new id...
probably a few other places to change too that I am missing, but that will be the heavy lifting....
be sure you have a db backup before beginning...
