most recent posts widget/plugin?

A recent upgrade to WP and SP caused a few hiccups but I have most of them resolved. One that’s bugging me though is the loss of the ‘most recent posts’ feature on the website homepage. Prior to the upgrades our homepage had a section that showed the most recent posts (5 or so) on the SimplePress forum section.

Going into the WordPress widgets section I see widgets for recent comments and recent posts, but they’re specific to the WordPress homepage, not the forums posts. I don’t see a plugin available for SP that might do what I want it to.

Any suggestions on how to make this work again?

You need to install the SP Template Tags plugin. – http://codex.simple-press.com/codex/plugins/our-plugins/the-template-tags-plugin/

Thanks for the response.

I downloaded and installed and activated the plugin.

I’m not seeing an options section though to configure it and the section for the plugin isn’t clear. It shows code definitions but not how and where to apply them.

But you said you wanted a widget. You should have one now.

Yes I do. And I have it all working properly.

Thanks much for the help. I had to reload the page, then it worked.
