Hello, I just updated my simplepress and wordpress to 3.6, and simeplepress to 5.3 i think.. but i got a problem now.. I had chosen to overwrite wp_avatar with sp_avatar, but the site dont understand this anymore.. It wont change..

are you saying it was working in 5.2.6 but its not working anymore in 5.3?
Yes it worked fine before the update!
When users comment in a article, or in the login widget i could se uploaded avatar before, but not anymore.
It’s just the uploaded avatars thats not working, the rest works fine!
hmm… any more details you can provide? I just tried testing it and its still working fine for me…
what avatar do you see now?
Well I took some screenshots to show you.
In the wp-admin I see the uploaded user avatar: Picture Here

In the article and if you look at comments, it shows sp_defualt avatars for some reason: Picture Here

oh, but that is different than implied… I thought you said the wp avatar replacement wasnt working…
but now it is working? just you are getting the wrong sp avatar in some cases? but its still an sp avatar?
no theme update along with wp and sp?
We will do some more testing, but today is a bit tight timewise for us…
nothing new yet… still cannot duplicate it… and its still a unique report not affecting anyone else (at least not reported) with 5.3 and 3.6..
so what happens if you switch to the default wp theme… same thing? or better?
I think this is the same issue I’m having, I’m getting a default SP avatar on my wordpress posts instead of my selected avatar which displays fine in the forums…

It’s also happening on my other site (shieldtv.net) both are on latest versions of WP, SP & Genesis
On further investigation, it seems that only admin accounts are affected, regular members’ forum avatars display fine in WP?
still cannot replicate… your bit about only admins (which is how I am testing btw) is odd…
can you post a screenshot of your forum – profile – avatar settings admin panel page?
okay few different options than I am using in my tests – can try this weekend…
what is your wp avatar options set to?
also, no reason to have remote avatars enabled there – they cannot be used since the priority is lower than the wp sp default avatar… that will always find one to use…
