5.0 TinyMCE toolbar… or whatever toolbar uploads images and stuff

One of the issues that I had with 4.5 was the inability to see the toolbar that uploaded images… turned out that the w3 total cache plugin was preventing the javascript from doing its job.

I am trying to “exclude” my forum pages and all of the subpages from w3 total cache, so that it can continue to function on the rest of the site.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell if my exclusions are working because the toolbar isn’t there with or without the w3 total cache.

Do I need to install this separately, or is w3 total cache still messing my page up?

have you installed and activated the V5 P Tinymce editor plugin?

Nope, but just tried.

Zip file didn’t work with wordpress upload function… I’ll try again in a minute with just the unzipped folder

FTPing the tinycme folder into the appropriate plugins folder didn’t work either.

Searched the forum for install tutorials… the other plugin install thread didn’t really have anything step by step-ish.

I’ll keep trying in the mean time.

you cannot use the wp uploader… its for wp plugins…  you need to put the sp plugins in the sp plugins folder… its defined on forum – integration – storage locations so that users can relocate it… by default its at wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins

Ok, so I FTP the zipped file to that location and it’s immediately active?

Nevermind… totally figured it out.  There’s a Plugin section in the Forum Admin!  AMAZING!  I’m starting to get better with this thing…

Crap… I have it uploaded, activated, and everything but I don’t get that cool little toolbar that I see right in front of me on your forum.  I don’t have any type of caching going on or java script minification.

Ugh….

Are you sure you have the correct files loaded and have activated the tinymce editor plugin on the forum admin plugins panel?

I FTP’d the “tinymce-richtext-2” folder to this directory:

/public_html/fightnow/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins

The plugin came up under forum > plugins > available plugins:

Editor (Tiny MCE – Richtext) version 1.0.2

It has the green check next to it to signify activation and everything.

‘tinymce-richtext-2’ ?

Are you using a Mac by any chance? And downloaded two copies?

The folder name must be the original folder name without the ‘-2’ on the end.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!

hahahahaha…. GREAT call!

I had downloaded and unzipped version 1.01 I guess the day before you guys updated it to 1.02…. so when I unzipped 1.02, it came up with the number 2 next to it.

I have my toolbar and I’m happy.  Thank you guys for your skilled assistance.
