1) I just installed v5.0. I’ve installed the post rating plugin, activated it, enabled it for the correct member group but i still don’t see it.
2) Is it possible to have some sort of quick reply function? a text box that is already visible to enter text in to rather than having to click “add reply” ? Perhaps even cut out the approx 2 secs it takes for a post to submit and for the page to reload by removing the “saving post” dialogue?

1 – have you turned it on for he forums you wish to use it on? Edit the necessary forum record(s) as we do not apply it globally.
2 – You can have a quick reply box as the admin by using the admin bar plugin. There is nothing built in for users although it could be done with a plugin.
The ‘saving post’ message is not a dialog and doesn’t take any time at all. Front end javascript is not going to hold up back end processing.
