I just upgraded our old 4.3.5 forums – moving through 4.5.1 to 5.4.1 today. Environment as follows:

It is a pretty simple setup – 2 groups – 14 forums – members have read only access – no moderators and a couple of admins.

After the upgrade I cannot access any of the forums as an admin – I get the:
“Access denied – you do not have permission to view this page”
I tried going out and creating a new user – went through sign up fine but got the same error when trying to access any of the forums.
I then deleted all permission sets and then reset global permissions for guests and members – but still no luck.
I’ve got about 900 members – I can see them in the member user group – I can see that they have read only access to each forum – but have no access.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
