Account Password Change – extra field?

We just updated yesterday. Got caught off guard about having to use the latest WP version for simplepress. So without much to offer I have a screenshot for this problem.

 

When logged into the forrum, Profile> Account Settings > to change password.

There is an extra field in there whithout instructions, etc. that doesn’t seem to do anything except block users from changeing their password. Please see sreenshot attached.

Oh dear. That appears to be coming from the WordPress password strength meter and is clearly not behaving as it should. We will need to investigate I am afraid and find out what has changed that we were unaware of.

looks like some changes they did to the password feature in 4.3 rippled through there and broke our usage of it…  we have opened a ticket and will get it investigated…

release is out there…  you may want to double check your email settings after the update…
